Amherst Island Ontario 12 Oct 09. No flash used, just adjusted camera settings manually to make up for the cloudy/dark day.

Incredible shots! Can I ask how you compensated for the lighting today? I also was out and didn't have great success with my shots, which I am attributing to the lighting.

Manually adjusting the exposure will make up for the cloudy days. My camera makes adustments from +o.3 +0.7 +1.0 etc, or for very bright days -0.3 -0.7 -1.0 etc. I take several shots with various settings and keep the best when I get home. When you let the camera do the work exposure is normally set at 0.0
