PS The "Quote" feature doesn't seem to be working. I customised the quote above.
Hi David. I think the quote feature does simply that. I.e., just quotes the post you are referring to. If you want to bolden, italicize or underline the quote, highlight it and then click on the corresponding button. I think... :roll:

Yes, I too have some problems using quotes. The above is what I achieve if I press the "Quote" button on your post and the "Submit".

It works for me too, if I click "Disable HTML in this post".

...and this is WITH it checked.
That seems like a bit of a glitch. I'm on other similarly designed boards, and I don't have to check that.
