Great shots - but just like Yogi says, lose the frame.  :D

its personal preference, but i would also suggest to NOT put the green background as you did in the 2nd picture. the problem is that you lose the depth of field, which is what would make your great picture more impactful. i'd love to see a blurry background - unless its a background that you don't want viewers to see.

i'm a fan of keeping the pictures as natural as possible. all flaws and nuances are what make each picture unique and individualized.  if you can, i'd really like to see you post the originals minus the photoshop job. would be interesting to see what you captured.

sorry if i am suggesting too much.

Thanks for the post backs and tips. I agree about frames, no more of these. Here is the the original second pic unaltered out of the camera. I rarely do nothing more than crop; sharpen and adjust colours if necessary using a free program called IrfanView Ver 4.10. I purchased a copy of Photoshop Elements 7.0 but don't find it useful or fun to use, so I have decided not to use it. 2nd pic done with Irfanview only, 1st original is on a cd somewhere couldn't find it to post this evening.

wow. damn good pic.

in the cropped version, the greens seem to be more solid/uniform.

me likies them when you see the patterns/lights.

keep up the good work!
