Title: Juvie Waxwing?
Post by: MEGHAN on October 25, 2009, 11:23:01 PM
I always thought Cedar Waxwings had more of a brown hue to them as juveniles.
Is that what this guy is?

I see you're a night hawk like I am.  :)
Thanks for your compliment and the confirmation on the ID.

I believe that is called burning the candle at both ends  :D
I am neither of those. I like to go to bed early and sleep late. I think the technical term for it is lazy...
I will say birding has gotten me up off my butt and outside at hours I would normally be still sleeping.
We should meet up one morning and walk around Riverwood. I know it is one of your usual haunts. Let me know. I'd enjoy meeting up with someone familiar with the area.

Moira- Thank you for your comment.
I'm still working on sharp images I did not have my tripod this day. With this one I was able to sit down on the grass to get a steady image.

Thanks again to both of you

Meg

Sounds great!  :D  I'm considering going to either Riverwood or Rattray Marsh on Sunday but at the moment, it's a maybe!
