Title: Red-breasted Mergansers
Post by: Bluffs Birder on October 28, 2009, 09:02:30 PM
Today at the Rosetta McClain Gardens Hawk Watch while BIGFRANK and I patiently waited for the drizzle to stop falling (which never did happen!) we watched as a huge movement of 5000+ Red-breasted Mergansers flew west to east out on Lake Ontario.  Also today we saw our first small flock of Long-tailed Ducks fly in past our 'Watch' spot.  As much as I like Long-tails, it means winter can't be too far off!!!
