Title: Hudsonian Godwit, Duffin's Creek, Ajax Ontario...
Post by: bernie2112 on October 28, 2009, 10:40:42 PM
Greetings!

Thanks to Geoff Carpentier (http://www.avocetnatureservices.com (http://www.avocetnatureservices.com)) we were able to see the juvenile Hudsonian Godwit. It was north of the bridge about 200 feet or so away. No good photos as the weather was crummy.

Duffin's Creek Marsh is in the Rotary Park in Ajax. Exit the 401 at Westney Road and go south to Lake Driveway. Follow this to the park (there are signs). The bridge and marsh are left and south. There are mudflats to the north and a small bay with lots of gulls to the south.

Cheers,

Bernie
