Had a great day birding doing a Fall Bird Count. Highlights came from Mt.Nemo; Chipping Sparrow, Am.Tree Sp. + Junco's , Wh.Thr. Spar. etc., Kiglets all day incl. a Ruby showing his colours.
The jewel of the day though was a big pond on Derry Rd. where we 'scored' no less than 14 species of waterfowl; prizes included, Ring Neck, Red Head, Canvas back, Widgeon, Gr.Scaups, Buffleheads, Ruddy DUCKS, Red Br. & Com. Mergs, Red Neck Grebe, Am.Coot, Cormorant (+Can.Geese & Gadwalls). Also of note were late Hermit & Swainson's Thrushes, a Loon flyover.
