was out today near the Humber River and Col. Sam Smith Park
came across a red fox (he was gorgeous) and also came across a beaver/muskrat/possible otter? if someone could ID this little guy i would be greatful

Nice pics Irene,
The first is Muskrat. Very small beady eyes close to a small nose. Beavers' noses are larger and their coats typically darker. Otters have flatter faces and darker coats.

the fact that you couldn't tell between a muskrat and a beaver tells me thats one really big rat!!! *Yikes*

it has been years since i have seen a fox! definitely a rare commodity around here.
somethings are just worth sharing with friends :)
as for the muskrat, yeah he was big...but we were on a hill looking down so it was difficult to determine size.
