Meghan, your photos are excellent. I was at Humber Bay last week and saw these guys but, due to the haze, couldn't get any decent photos. I had never seen the RedHeads before and I'm glad to see your photo of them.
These species are now on Grenadier Pond, just a little east of Humber Bay - all except for the RedHeads! I find the Buffleheads so hard to get pictures of as they dive for a fairly long time and are usually quite far out. Your photos are great!

Meg ... these are great photos. :D
I love male Hooded Mergansers! Have you ever seen one tilt back it's head then let loose with a whirring sound that sounds like a blender?
Jo-Anne :)

Morning All,
Thanks to all of you for your kind words.
I am still trying to figure out how to work with my camera. I am glad that you are enjoying some of my photos as I work towards taking better pictures.
Ducks are new to me. Who knew there were so many beautiful kinds. I have found a new love thanks to everyone here and all your pictures of them . I now love ducks!! :D
