Title: YYZ Air Traffic Control Tower Tour

Hi everyone.  

Today was truly an aviation person's dream tour - getting to go up into the YYZ ATC tower with some fellow YYZ Airport Watch members.  Wow, the view from up there is incredible - both inside the tower and on the external catwalk!  It was also amazing to see how long the runways actually are - a very different perspective from high up than from ground level.  Really nice ATC people.  An interesting event!  :D

It was great getting to finally meet Attila for the first time at this tour after yakking with him here on the Birding forum for ages!  8)

btw Attila - did you happen to catch what type of military aircraft buzzed the tower around 2pm?

Was definitely worth the price of admission, no doubt about it.   Although the resident red tails didn't like being left outside the barbed wire fence....:lol:  With the quiet day at the airfield, even the deer came out to play...check out the wildlife section.

As well, it was finally nice to meet Jo-Anne after so much time talking here on the forum.  :D
