Very nice Denis. My experience is that the hawks don't let you get close enough to get a shot (even with a long lens).

you,re right. with their keen eyesight,it,s a challenge at the best of times.i photographed a red-tail this morning,heading home from work,and he was sitting on a branch,with his wings,partially open,trying to dry them off,i guess!

actually, i've stood 15 feet under them before. under = ok. walking to them = usually not ok.

never mind walking.just sticking the lens out the car window,at about 200-300 ft,flushes them for me! jeez!!!
