Title: great black-backed gull

found this guy near the whitby harbour,on tuesday dec 1.boy,these birds are big,compared to ring-billed gulls.he was bullying,all the smaller gulls around.king of the hill!!

yeah! he pretty much had his way with the little gulls,even at one point,walked over to a ring-billed,and stole whatever he was eating.

Quite huge, aren't they?  I saw one last Winter at Humber Bay Park.  Years ago, used to see lots of these guys at Jack Darling Park and Lakefront Promenade Park.
