Title: Humber Arboretum

i paid a quick visit to the Arboretum today (Finch and Hwy 27).
some chickadees, nuthatches and LOTS of downy and/or hairy woodpeckers. saw one raptor in a tree (flew before i could identify it) and lots of other birds, like morning doves, etc.
apparently there are owls there as well (none spotted)

I have lived near the Arb for 25yrs and have seen all types of wildlife there.  Most notably - and I have posted on the Arb on this forum, the abundance of Pheasants.  They used to be everywhere about 15+ yrs ago.  I would rollerblade the Humber paved path from Islington Rd.  to the Arb about 4 days a week then (when my health was better) and they were EVERYWHERE, that loud shriek that sounds like an already started car being re-started ...
