Title: 2 male Buffleheads at Lake Aquitaine
Post by: Bird Brain on December 10, 2009, 02:03:43 PM
Hi everyone.

Just got in from a very cold, windy, snowy, icy walk around Lake Aquitaine.  Brrrr!

Birds sighted today:

2 Buffleheads (male) swimming and diving in the middle of the lake.  The beautiful bright white really stands out!

2 Cardinals (1m, 1f)

3 Crows

Gulls - approximately 120+, Canada Geese, Mallards, Sparrows.

Jo-Anne  :)

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.

Hey Joanne...the buffleheads are a regular winter visitor on L. Ontario....love watching them...great divers....shouldn't you be somewhere warm right now?

Axeman ... I should be somewhere warm every day of the year!
I'm a Summer Baby so Winter is a long season for me.

Just received my new passport today (Wow, only took one week - that was fast!) ...
am hoping to do some travelling in January.
