Title: Amherst Island Owls

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what makes Amherst so appealing for owls?  What is different between the forests and fields there and throughout the rest of southern Ontario that they all flock there in particular?  I was just thinking about it today and was curious if anyone knows.
