Title: Snowy Owl
Post by: skyviewer on January 07, 2010, 07:08:06 PM
Well i finally saw my first snowy owl.  Its perch isn't the greatest and it is cropped about 50%.  Hopefully i will find it again.  Didn't i just mention in a post on this very forum less than a month ago that i would get one this winter.  I said "i have not taken a pic of a snowy owl yet but i will"

I guess i have to say that crap more often

Anyways it was up in Keswick i took the drive and i also saw an American Kestrel on the opposite side of the road that i saw the snowy.  There were also a pair of snow buntings.  I also read on another forum that across the way in Bradford today someone else spotted another snowy owl.  Wish i had of read that post while on the road.

Enjoy

congrats on your first snowie!
looks like the same bird i got photos of last week.the pure white male was there, but across the holland river, with no way to get across.i watched him sitting on a pole, with binos, for an hour hoping he would cross back on the keswick side, but no such luck.
