I saw a Pileated Woodpecker flying over the road in Rondeau Provincial Park today. It landed briefly in a tree before disappearing further away.
Also had Snow Buntings, Horned Larks and a Red-tailed Hawk along the road to Rondeau.

Sounds like you had a good day. Every time I visit my dad (in Blenheim) I mean to poke my head in at Rondeau. I used to go there all the time as a child with my grandparents and I miss the place a lot.
This spring for sure!
Happy birding
