Today, we visited Lasalle Marina in the Burlington area. There are always many Trumpeter Swans there. Among the usual suspects, we also saw two Ruddy Ducks and an American Coot. Along the boardwalk, we saw a Red-tailed Hawk that has become a regular at the marina. Farther along, we saw a small flock of Golden-crowned Kinglets, who were hanging out with the Chickadees, White-breasted Nuthatches and a Brown Creeper. Sneaking over and under some logs was a Winter Wren.
Directions: QEW to Burlington. Look for North Shore Blvd. exit. Turn right at North Shore Blvd. E. Keep left to stay on North Shore Blvd. E. Go past Lasalle Park. Turn left at the stop sign and drive down to the marina.

Leslie: Sounds like a wonderful day. I was there last Sunday visiting my aunt and took in a 1/2 hour of birding. Ann
