Welcome Scott. It was great to meet yesterday and only wish we had some great shots of the elusive Snow Geese to post. Lovely shot of the Sparrow.

Thank you for the kind comments Andreas, Denis, RC, Yogi, Niloc & Moira. You are certainly right regarding the sparrows Yogi, one of my 2010 projects is to photograph as many different species of Ontario sparrows as possible. Moira, at least we know where to find them and we can hope for a few 'postable' images next time.

Thanks for the critique Attila. It's much appreciated. This shot was taken at Halls Road in Ajax and there is lots of opportunity to control the back grounds. I wasn't sure about leaving the vegetation above the birds head but it had that 'under the mistletoe' feeling so I left them in.
