Cooper's Hawk Jan.31.10 7:30 am. I believe this to be the resident Cooper's Hawk of Marie Curtis Park

wonder if he was as cold as I was?
this is a coopers right? not a sharp shinned?

Nice shots Irene.  Its always hard to differentiate Coopers from Sharpies, but the rounded tail appearance  created by the shorter outer tail feathers (best seen in your first image) makes me think this is a Coopers.

Thanks Steve, he's been at the park for quite a while now so I woke up early grabbed the cam and "got him" LOL
it was well worth the wait
