Seen the barred owl sitting in a tree off the side fo the Road. The Nuthatches were at Thickson's Woods. A couple of days ago i may have seen my first Saw Whet. I could have clubbed myself over the head as i always bring my camera with me when i'm out driving to a job. This day i decided not to bring it and low and behold i saw this pudgy little owl sitting in the sun in some cedar trees. It had a whitish breast in the sun and was very oval shape. I could not see the eyes but it may have been sleeping. Never again will i go without my camera.
Enjoy

Thanks Denis you live you learn.
The wife said she really liked this photo so i will post it. I always go for the sharp cloeups but she really likes the surroundings the owl is sitting in. He's defintely buried deep.

Beautiful photos.
You're not kidding when you say the Barred is buried deep.
Great camo they have.
