we,ve decided to try the amelia island,st augustine area,for a week in march,and besides the obvious areas,such as the alligator farm,amelia island,etc.. does anyone have first hand experience in that area.we are driving,so want to maximize my brief time in that area.

Hi Denis, I see in another section you're keen to take pics of a pileated. I think you will be lucky in the St. Augustine area. I saw my first one there in 1997 - I think at the Ponce de Leon Park not far from the fort. I've often seen pileateds in Florida - good luck. I bet you'll have some amazing shots to share with us on your return.
I'll be in the Pensacola area at Easter, an area I've never visited, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for interesting material.
