Title: Col Sam Smith park 3 Feb 2010
Post by: What was that? on February 03, 2010, 06:29:23 PM
Despite poor weather initially, main sighting was of a kestrel who nicely stayed on a branch while I got closer. Eventually got to within 25ft (mainly vertical).
Apart from that - Common mergansers, mallards, cardinals, herring and ring bill gulls, long tail ducks, gadwalls, American Coot, chickadees, mute swans, buffleheads, Common Goldeneye, crows, Can geese.

Nice day to get out once the sun came out (luckily for 15 minutes while I was watching the kestrel).

For some reason, not a lot of other people out and about :)
