Title: american coot lasalle park

these were taken at lasalle park yesterday.a first for me,and a chance to try out my new to me,1D MARK 11,with 500 f/4 + 1.4 tc combo.still very hard to expose a black bird with white beak.first 2 pics with mark 11,and last 2 with 40-d/300 f/4 combo hand-held.

Nice ones Denis, nice new camera too, definately hard to expose black and white, you really need perfect lighting to do it.

these water chickens are neat! especially the splayed toes.
