Title: Nassau, Bahamas

Date:  Jan. 12-19, 2010.  Weather:  Hot, sunny +25c to +30c.  Photographer:  Mark, my boyfriend.  All photos taken with a Nikon D50.

The following birds were sighted at Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Center.

White-cheeked Pintail.

Nice pictures. I like the Red-legged Thrush, haven't seen that one before, not even in a picture!

 Thank You Thomas.  It's quite an experience seeing those eyes looking at you and seeing the bright legs as well.  Saw lots of these birds daily - they were everywhere!  :)

Outstanding photos Jo-Anne, the humming birds are so beautiful, spectacular colors, nice for a change. Very cool Red Legged Thrush, thanks so much for sharing.

Kin ... this Green Heron was an expert bug hunter.  He would stalk, catch and eat a bug then go to the swimming pool for a drink (yikes!  :shock: ) - this was repeated 4 separate times!
I'm amazed he didn't hop in for a jacuzzi afterwards.  ;)
