Title: Niagara, Deer
Post by: Napper on February 20, 2010, 11:09:19 PM
Hey

We visited the Niagara region today. Used my favourite back road route.  50 Rd South to hwy 20 Then South on  Caister Ctr road.

Just as I spit out the words We might see something special dear.  We spot 7 White tails moving across the field beside us.

I stopped the car to watch. They hesitated for a moment, seemed to look both ways and crossed the road about 50 yards in front of us.

Many Redtail Hawks in that area, Spotted a kettle of 7 a little further on.

South of Hwy 20 there was a Northern Harrier hunting.

I was really surprised at the amount of snow down there. As we approached Lake Erie the snow levels increased.. 6 to 8 inches in spots.

I wore shoes should have brought my boots. My goal as always is a Tufted Titmouse. I think I heard one but didn't sound like the recordings.
