Title: Critter - Bronte Marina
Post by: Luv2Bird on February 28, 2010, 12:00:22 PM
This little guy came running along while we were looking at the Red-breasted Merganser
I think it's a muskrat.  Also saw one last week at Lake Wabukayne.

Hey!!

Muskrats don't have furry tails.. It looks like it belongs to the Weasel family.

A Mink maybe

The muskrat has a skinny tail like a rat...and its plumper, not tubular body...you may have noticed an undulating motion as the mink ran along...my parents have spotted mink in the Port Credit area as well.

Nice spotting and great pic.
