Title: Red-Breasted Merganser Take-off

It was pretty quiet at Humber Bay East this afternoon.  There were some Red-breasted Mergansers hanging around fairly close to shore.  This one took off in front of me:

There was also lots of courting, but never quite close enough for a really good shot

Great captures - love this duck - they're like missiles in the air - looks like he's walking on water!

i agree with moira. you need a lot of SS,to stop these guys!
