Title: Humber Bay West...Red Heads, Long Tails, and a Golden Eye...
Post by: bernie2112 on March 03, 2010, 11:22:09 PM
Greetings!

The ice at Humber Bay West and the Promenade is receding. So just by the gazebo are several Red Heads, about 40 Long Tailed Ducks, a couple of Scaup (Lesser I think), and a Common Goldeneye.

Since the side walk is much higher than the water line they do not seem to mind a closer approach.

Oh, lots and lots of Gulls on the ice (nothing rare I think).

Cheers,

Bernie

The Humber Bays are at Lakeshore Road and Parklawn Road. Take the Parklawn exit off the QEW/Gardiner and go straight at Lakeshore Blvd or go right and then left before the next light.
