I took this at LaSalle, where I took the American Coot pics last weekend.  I think the water looks odd - thought it was something technical.  Oh well ...

I agree that you don't need to adjust anything.  

If you were looking to darken the water a simple trick that I use on water and skies is to reduce the luminance (and sometimes increase the saturation) of the blue.    You can often make large adjustments without noticeable effects on other parts of the image.  I do it in Adobe Camera Raw, but many image editing programs would give you the same option.
