This is a wonderful spot to bring your (bored) kids on March Break! They can hand-feed the chickadees, chipmunks and squirrels while you check out the other returning migrators. We were there yesterday and saw: 2 hairy woodpeckers, many blue jays, a few cardinals, grackles, red-wings, 2 brown creepers, several nutchatches, 2 mute swans, a gazillion Canada Geese, and many Mallards. We were only there for an hour, so I'm sure there were many species I missed... :)

i second this.
and its not just for kids!
nuthatches and chickadees will eat seeds out of your hands.
last summer, there was a hummingbird eating there.
