It has been suggested (http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=4910) that adding a sub-forum for Backyard Birding to the site could be useful. This poll is meant to query the interest for such a forum. It could involve everything with regards to backyard birding, such as observations, lists, feeders, nestboxes, etc.
Note that generally it not a good idea to diversify a low-traffic forum too much, so please only answer yes in case you truly believe you would like to post on issues relating to a Backyard Birding.
Please comment if you have an ideas about this.

Hi Andreas,
Thanks for the chance to vote on this. I agree that diversifying low-traffic forums just leads to "too much of not enough"... this being said, if the board admin is really interested in having forum members be true to the definition of each and every sub-forum, then you'll likely need to add this sub-forum.
If, however, folks are okay with the existing "reports" sub-forums including posts like, "I just saw a blue-jay at my feeder! First time ever!" Then I think we're good without it.
Frankly, I love the bird-nerd chats that get started in these forums and in general think that low intensity moderation is a good thing.
Best,
Pat

Hi Andreas,
This is a great idea, especially as spring migration season is underway, especially if people are prepared to reveal the neighbourhood in which their backyard is located.

Are you going to add the new sub-title?

@Cody
I've just brought this issue to the attention of the other moderators, including Andy, who is running the site. Hopefully they'll agree, but we'll have to wait and see.
