Title: The Search is On....
Post by: MEGHAN on March 27, 2010, 05:55:55 PM
....For me to find a Great Blue Heron in the water this season. As you all know, this seems to be a difficult thing for me to do.
And to start this year off, I do not dissapoint.
Oh well maybe next time, I have all year right.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your comments and all the kind words.
Mike, yup it's the same bird, as soon as I got there he flew out of the water and landed on the railing...story of my life.
But at least I was able to take a look at those incredible feet. so weird. I've never really paid attention to them before.
Hey Moira, I may have to follow you around this year, I'm dying to get "the" fishing shot.
Hey Vince, I was at the Marsh last week, they're not back yet. But I agree...very soon, and I'll be waiting.
Thanks to everyone else. I'm so glad you all enjoyed these photos.

Outstanding Megan  , what a great series of photos, you have improved once again in your pictures. Love the feet shot. I think you have touched on an interresting subject here, with your close up and feet shots, why not have a theme each month.  Like extreme close ups, just feet, funny expressions on there face, feathers, black and whites, beaks and bills, eyeballs, wingspreds, sleepy eyes, scratching, yawning, etc. I think it would be neat to see what we can come up with.  Somthing alittle different.
Just a thought.

Hey Clemens!!
Thanks so much for the very kind compliments, and the great idea.
I touched on this a while ago with a series of shots of the fuzzy eyelids Barred Owls have.
But you make a great point on having a monthly theme.
I think it would be fun. And the photos? Who know what we'll come up with.
Thanks again Clemens, it's always nice to hear you enjoyed my photos.

Great shots Meghan.  I must say I do like the claws.  I was thinking the old vampire movie Nosferatu.  The water shots will come with all this lovely warm weather
