Title: Strange one, Wild Turkey?
Post by: Napper on March 30, 2010, 08:13:24 PM
Hey Folks!

Strange things? or neighbors seeing things?

Just now talking to our neighbor.  He was talking to a group of people this afternoon that described to him that there was  a wild turkey in his front yard this morning at 7:00am.

Apparently another Neighbor spotted it on his way to School/College today.

Non of my kids spotted on their way to school.

We live in the middle of suburbia now, subdivisions all around I find this one a bit difficult to believe.

Our feline was acting a little strange this morning (4:30 am) at the back sliding door but I didn't see anything.

We had a GB Heron hangin around a couple of days ago (landed on a house)  I don't think you could confuse the two birds thou.  I dunno :?:   A Partridge maybe

Hi Napper,

Not sure where in suburbia you are, but out here in east Ajax we have a gaggle of wild turkeys wandering through our little suburban enclave.  Now we're also up against farms and fields.  But I'd guess that if you have greeen space and woodlot running through or around your 'hood then turkeys are a possibility.  The population does seem to be bouncing back nicely.
