My family & I, 4 of us, saw what must be the usual residents in the east side (no water except crossing Spring Creek) of High Park today.
starling 5
house sparrows 2
robins 6
downy woodpecker 2
red-winged blackbird ("song" only)
Canada goose 4
veery 1
chickadee 5 (plus others by "song")
white-breasted nuthatch 1
hairy woodpecker
flicker (by "song")
red-tailed hawk 1
cardinal (song)
plus
garter snakes 5 (presumably leaving hibernaculum)
mourning cloak 2
unidentified large copper-orange butterfly or moth 1
