A few creatures seen on my hike through Myakka State Park in Florida. The picture quality is not that great, but for someone who is afraid of household cats & dogs, I didn't do too bad! If someone knows what kind of deer this is, please advise. Thanks for looking!

Great pics. I really like the alligator. I would say the deer is a white tail like we have in ontario

Thanks Skyviewer; I don't recall our deer having the brown stripe, but then again I'm not usually that close to them.

Did some research i guess in southern Florida they also have a deer called the Key Deer. They say it pretty much resembles the whitetail other than it is shorter. It is found mainly in the keys and islands surrounding.
Other than that Whitetails are the most popular deer found in Florida

Ummmm, you were that close to an alligator? Yikes!

Lloyd: There was a smaller one in front of this one! It took me by surprise to say the least. This after just pondering how far to go into the woods after the wild boar (not far by the way!)
