Title: Fall Comings and Goings
Post by: Leslie Kinrys on November 08, 2006, 07:27:05 PM
The changing seasons always bring some birds back to our yard and feeders. (We live in the Bathurst/Sheppard area.) There are at least one pair of Downy Woodpeckers and one pair of Hairy Woodpeckers, plus 1 Flicker, 2 Red-breasted Nuthatches and 2 Black-capped Chickadees attracted to the suet.  Today, I saw a Pileated Woodpecker in my neighbours' tree. Then there are some surprises. Hanging around the other feeders, along with the regulars, were 3 White-throated Sparrows and 11 Red-winged Blackbirds. A Robin hid in our evergreens.
