Title: The Mockingbird is Back
Post by: brummiebirder on April 09, 2010, 05:36:44 PM
The Mockingbird that spent much of last summer at the back of 721 Progress Avenue in Scarborough was seen at lunchtime today.

It spends time in and around the line of trees at the back of the parking area east of the creek beside Brafasco.

It's so fascinating when they return to these obscure locations.  I saw him there last year.  Thanks for the update.

There's also been one earlier this week hanging around the parking lot at the Loblaws, corner of Dupont and Christie. Attracted a bit of a crowd a few days ago making "car alarm" sounds!

We have one that hangs around the corner of Scarlett and Dundas, I think this is the 3rd or 4th year we've seen him. I saw a Killdeer there once too, I was sitting on the bus with my mouth hanging open because I couldn't believe I was seeing a Killdeer in the city.
