This little guy showed up this morning in North York.
Would this Junco be considered an Oregon Junco or Cassiar junco. Sorry about the quality of the pics, taken thru a window.

First of all, I'm no expert.
It doesn't look like an Oregon.
I'd say either a so-called Cassiar or an immature slate-coloured.

Thanks Zed, I am no expert myself but this Junco had light brown sides with a lot of brown on the back. So I don't know what that makes it. It wasn't the typical Junco I see everywhere.

The female slates will be more brown on the back and wings as well.

Are these types of Juncos uncommon in Toronto & Southern Ontario?
