Title: Col Sam Smith: Kestrel party (BYO Snake)

the kestrels were out in full force. i saw 2 or 3 of them. two were hunting in the growth area near the parking lot. when i arrived, one just caught a snake and was being chased around by a red-winged blackbird. i only got one OK picture of it.

i also watched the 2 kestrels try to woo each other but did not stick around for the sexytime.

Nice shots!  I followed one around one afternoon...  a very cold and cloudy afternoon...  never got a shot worth sharing.  The snake one is cool!

Good catch with the snake.  I think we've had enough of Kestrel sexy time  :lol:
