Notables included the following:
1st and 2nd winter Iceland gulls (x2 each - on the beach facing south over the lake next to the lagoon)
Mature Glaucous gulls (x2 - out over the lake)
Northern Shovellers (x2 - pair in the drainage lagoons)
Belted Kingfisher (x1 - seen frequently hovering over the drainage lagoons)
Northern Flicker (x2 - seen at the treeline adjacent to the Western day parking area and washrooms)
Notables not present:
Caspian or common terns (perhaps a couple of weeks away as I just saw them at Presqui'le last weekend)
Great Blue Herons
Black Crowned Night Herons
Red Head Ducks
Hooded Mergansers

Caspian Terns are in the area. Walter and I have seen them from atop the bluffs last week early in the week. Not in great numbers...could have been passing through or on a fishing run from The Spit.
