Travelling westbound on the 401 I noticed a GB Heron flying south east over the highway at 0615 at Port Union Road. At 1615 this afternoon while travelling eastbound a GB Heron flew over the highway at Port Union flying north west.
Could this be the same bird and is it following me :?: :?

could be there is heronry in that general direction

There is a low probability it was the same heron. However both herons are probably neighbours. Rouge marsh attracts herons for feeding. This time of year they come mostly from the north. There are two heronries in north Pickering from where these herons probably came from/going to. most herons from eastern Toronto, southwestern Durham Region, and Markham area come from these Heronries.
