Title: Baby Squirrels
Post by: Photoman on April 21, 2010, 08:42:11 PM
Greetings to all :D

Last weekend while Zed, mkybear and I were shooting the Downies, Hairys and the Red Bellied Woodpeckers in Lampton Woods, we came across a family of baby squirrels at the tree where we were shooting the woodpeckers. One by one the critters climbed down to check out the surrounding area. We think it was there first time out. They looked to be 4-6 weeks old but mother was nowhere to be seen. We had to be careful where we stepped because there were 4 on the ground at one time and two in the tree. Very cute critters.

Enjoy

Great shots Clemens!
It was quite a treat to see these little fellows!

I checked the area again on Tuesday. There was no sign of them.
