Lots of activity down at Asbridges Bay Park today, birding activity, though the movie shoot was interesting as well....
- Ruby crown Kinglets by the droves... these guys are so cute! One male was singing like crazy trying to attract some ladies or claim a branch.
- Yellow rumped warblers - I only saw two
- Brown Thrasher - I actually saw two of these, though possibly it was the same one but changing locations.
- White throated sparrows, Song Sparrows, I think I saw a fox sparrow... but I didn't get a good look.
- A really strange looking cardinal.... started to get excited about it, but in the end I think it was just an overly bright female.
- many cowbirds.
Anybody have tips on how to look through binoculars without your mouth gaping wide open... I've realized I probably look like an idiot while birding and now i'm really self concious about it. Anyone else have this problem?
