Title: Brown Thrashers and Sparrows Humber Arboretum...

Greetings!

I kept hearing this Mockingbird call but could not see it - until it turned out to be a pair of Brown Thrashers. This was in the valley in the brambles on the north east side.

At the feeders were a cooperative Chipping Sparrow, in and amongst the trees - which are coming into bloom and providing a lovely backdrop.

There are the usual RWBB, Cowbirds, House Finches, and Gold Finches in full plumage.

I went here for the first time last weekend. Beautiful spot. Will be going back again soon.

can you please let us know if you see any warblers?
last spring, i happened to see a few in the Arboretum in mid-April.

We go to the Wild Birds Unlimited on Dundas in Etobicoke.  They have a bird sightings board and apparently someone recently saw a Black and Blue or Blue/Black Warbler (whatever that one is called) just last week at the Arboretum.  Sorry, Warblers are very new to me, so their names escape me.  I've only ever seen Yellow Warblers and Yellow Rumped Warblers.
