We went to Thickson Woods this morning (April 24th) and were so thrilled to see a Great Horned Owl, in full view, sleeping in a tree. Awesome! I caught a decent pic of a Tree Swallow flying right towards me as well... not bad for a Canon Powershot (so I think).
I want to thank all the helpful people on this board for sharing tips and locations. You all rock!

@Scott-we may of passed each other in the woods! Lovely area, did you see the Winter Wren? A very nice birder pointed him out to us and the Wren came out in full view for us and entertained us with a song! It was the first time Rob and I have seen one.
