Isn't that female a mallard?  I think female pintails have black beaks and feet.

Well spotted Mark, it's a female Mallard, there might be some hybrids coming up.

Great series, there was boatloads of these guys around the Minesing Wetlands a couple weeks back, one of the most regal ducks I've ever seen.

thanks everyone.
it appears mallard hens mate with any old duck,hence all the hybrids we are seeing.
