Hi everyone.
1. Started out at Maplewood Park between 9:30-10:30am. Saw the following:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (male) x 1
Cooper's Hawk flew out of nest and landed on nearby branch to preen.
Beautiful white Trillium flowers everywhere!
2. Lake Aquitaine between 10:45-11:45am. Saw the following:
Brown-headed Cowbird x 2 (1m, 1f)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Spring males) - dozens. Wow!
Black-and-white Warbler x 1 (Spring male)
Warblers were sighted on North side of lake, walking East (clockwise) along paved trail.
Also at the lake:
Cardinals x 2 (1m, 1f)
Grackles x 4
Gulls - a few
Red-winged Blackbirds - dozens
Robins - including 2 separate nests, still no baby bird sightings
Sparrows - lots
At the far East end of the lake, cherry trees are in full blossom. Looks and smells so beautiful!
Great morning with awesome weather!
Jo-Anne :)

Great sightings Jo-Anne! I need to see more Warblers. Last year was my first for them ever.

Thanks Rob. You will definitely get your Warbler wish during the month of May! :D
I've had my best luck with Warbler sightings in the past at Erindale Park. Had really good luck here at Lake Aquitaine last Spring as well!
