Title: wood duck at Tiny Marsh
Post by: anotherlook on April 30, 2010, 04:07:41 PM
I made it out to Tiny Marsh early one morning this past week and actually arrived before the sun was up. I went to one of my fav spots .....dug in and waited. About an hour passed by and this guy arrived. Patience can be a wonderful thing. Just wanted to share.....

Cheers,

Per

Awesome pic. I love the reflection.

What else did you see up at Tiny Marsh? I was thinking of going up there myself on Sat or Sun.

Thanks for the comments!!! If you are thinking of going to Tiny Marsh I would suggest going early morning or late afternoon. On weekends it can be busy and the more people around the less chance of catching anything good. Lately I have seen Merganzers, egrets, blue herons, swans, various species of ducks, caspian terns, minks, muskrats and on the boardwalk area to the west of the main entrance many various song birds. I like going early morning before any winds pick up. Good luck if anyone is heading up there.

Cheers,

Per Nielsen
