We live in the Bathurst/Sheppard area. A Cooper's Hawk has included our yard in its hunting territory. On Thursday evening, it plucked a male Hairy Woodpecker right off the suet feeder. Why couldn't the hawk have grabbed one of those pesky Starlings?

Could you please send him over here to scare (note, I said scare, not eat!!) our resident robin:) My wife has trouble sleeping and every morning at about 4am he (or she?) is singing up a storm in our back yard. Even the cardinals and chickadees wait until just before sunrise to get noisy.
